Through an app, developed by Kappo Bike, the use of the bicycle among the workers of companies from different industries was promoted. The application measures, among other parameters, the daily trips made by bicycle or on foot. All the employees of Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro were invited to download the app and participate in the campaign, which took place during November.<\/p>\n<p>The Cool Place to Bike award recognizes the <strong>companies that managed to reach their goals thanks to the motivation of their collaborators<\/strong>. In this sense, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro far exceeded all its figures stipulated at the beginning of the campaign that lasted a month.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-image-wrapper\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/conchaytoro.com\/content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Bici.jpg\" alt=\"Bici\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" \/><\/div>\n<h2>Motivation in teams<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Patricio P\u00e9rez and Francisco Donoso<\/strong>, both collaborators of the <strong>Bodega Gen\u00e9rica of the Lontu\u00e9 Plant of Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro<\/strong>, participated in the group that led the scores of the wine company.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Of the seven that make up the group, four of us worked together. Every day we asked each other if they were going to ride their bicycles and the distance they had in mind. It was an instance to communicate and complement each other, there was more concern for the others. It was very entertaining&#8221;, said <strong>Francisco Donoso<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Benefit in health and quality of life<\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;This initiative not only contributes to the environment, but also benefits the competitors, improving their health and quality of life, which is verified by seeing the final result: in total 419,000 calories were burned, 31,250 trips were made, which is equivalent to 274,000 kilometers. Graphically, it can be expressed as seven turns to Earth. In addition, 6.3 million calories were burned, which can be compared to the consumption of 28 thousand \u201cmote con huesillos\u201d or 12,600 empanadas&#8221;, said <strong>Iv\u00e1n P\u00e1ez, founder and CEO of Kappo<\/strong>, on the figures of the total number of participating companies.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, P\u00e1ez pointed out that <strong>55% of the companies that participated in Cool Place to Bike achieved &#8211; and in some cases exceeded &#8211; their objectives<\/strong>, so he hopes to increase the call for the activity that will take place in April 2019.
