The internationally renowned Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) awarded the 2018 Cono Sur Single Vineyard Syrah and Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec vintages with the highest recognition: 97 points and Platinum Medal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In the latest edition of the British Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), two labels of Vi\u00f1a Concha and Toro stood out with the highest recognition given by the 17th version of the competition: 97 points and Platinum Medal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the occasion, the <\/span>Cono Sur Single Vineyard Syrah<\/b> was highlighted with its 2018 harvest which managed to charm the demanding judges of the competition, receiving 97 points and the Platinum Medal, becoming one of the five Chilean wines that obtained this recognition. Mat\u00edas Rios, Winemaking Director at Cono Sur, explains: ‘With this wine we want to convey the expression of terroir and the tremendous potential that San Antonio Valley has for cold climate Syrah. A coastal valley, with great influence from the Pacific Ocean, with granite soils where Syrah thrives and expresses itself in a great way, obtaining an intense wine with great character.’<\/span><\/p>\n

Also the<\/span> Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2018<\/b> – a great exponent of Luj\u00e1n de Cuyo valley in Mendoza -, stood out with historical 97 points and Platinum Medal. Germ\u00e1n Di C\u00e9sare, Chief Winemaker of Trivento, comments: ‘I remember Golden’s beginnings very well because it was our first high-end wine. Golden keeps the cultural legacy of European immigrants who arrived in Mendoza at the end of the nineteenth century, the wealth of the geography of Luj\u00e1n de Cuyo and those old Malbec vineyards, have managed to balance their fruits with the passing of decades.’<\/span><\/p>\n
