{"id":40012,"date":"2021-01-21T11:37:25","date_gmt":"2021-01-21T14:37:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vinacyt.com\/?p=40012"},"modified":"2021-01-28T11:37:50","modified_gmt":"2021-01-28T14:37:50","slug":"vina-concha-y-toro-is-included-in-new-dow-jones-index","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vinacyt.com\/en\/noticia\/sustainability\/vina-concha-y-toro-is-included-in-new-dow-jones-index\/","title":{"rendered":"Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro is included in new Dow Jones index"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Santiago Stock Exchange and S&amp;P Dow Jones Indices launched the S&amp;P IPSA ESG Tilted Index that measures environmental, social and corporate governance criteria, which highlights the company among 25 other Chilean companies.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S&amp;P Dow Jones Indices, the world&#8217;s leading index provider, and the Santiago Stock Exchange, recently launched the S&amp;P IPSA ESG Tilted Index, which seeks to measure the performance of some of the largest shares and liquidity in environmental, social and corporate governance criteria (ESG).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the time of the launch of this index, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro was featured alongside 25 other Chilean companies. &#8216;As Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro we are proud to be in this new S&amp;P Dow Jones index, as it recognises our commitment to Sustainability, community relations and corporate governance. As a company we are convinced that the challenge of growth must be approached in a responsible and balanced way, with all dimensions of Sustainability moving forward together. It is very gratifying to see that the efforts that the company has made over the years, today are visible in scale indices as relevant as Dow Jones,&#8217; said Valentina Lira, the company&#8217;s Sustainable Development Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2015, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro has formed part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Chile Index (DJSI Chile), the country\u2019s leading sustainability index developed by the New York Stock Exchange and S&amp;P Dow Jones Indices, since 2019. This is a global sustainability indicator in which only the leading companies in each sector are asked to participate.
