After achieving excellent results in measuring and reducing climate risk in its supply chain, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro was among the 8% of companies that were included in the CDP\u2019s Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard 2021.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The CDP recently released its Supplier Engagement Rating Leaderboard 2021, which highlights how leading companies are addressing sustainability in their supply chains. On this occasion, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro was named among the top 8% of companies among more than 6,000 that were assessed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis achievement would not have been possible without the permanent commitment of our Procurement and Services Division, which has always been an active partner in incorporating our supply chain into our climate action roadmap. Our suppliers have also shown great enthusiasm in their commitment to Science Based Targets, and it is highly rewarding to see the virtuous cycle that has been generated\u201d, said Valentina Lira, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro\u2019s Sustainability Director.<\/p>\n

“Our data shows that companies currently have blinkers on when it comes to assessing their indirect impacts and engaging with suppliers to reduce them. Companies must act urgently to cascade action and manage environmental impacts throughout their supply chains to scale the level of action to secure a 1.5\u00b0C future. Many congratulations to the 400+ companies earning a place on CDP\u2019s 2021 Supplier Engagement Leaderboard. As a Supplier Engagement Leader, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro is a trailblazer driving the transition towards a sustainable net-zero future”, said Sonya Bhonsle, Global Head of Value Chains & Regional Director Corporations, CDP.<\/p>\n

In order to reduce its environmental impact to the greatest possible extent, the company is currently working together with its suppliers and customers to guarantee the use of sustainable and efficient packaging. Today, 98% of bottles used by Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro are of reduced weight; the glass bottles used contain an average of 30% recycled material; and 99% of our bottles and packaging are recyclable, among other measures.<\/p>\n

The full leaderboard for this year will be included in the CDP\u2019s \u201cEngaging the chain: driving speed and scale\u201d report, which highlights the urgent need for companies to take measures and actions across the entire supply chain to achieve the speed and scale required to avert an environmental crisis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
