Ken Ohashi, Japanese Master of Wine, also participated.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During January, the marketing team of Mercian, a Japanese customer and company with which Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro has a distribution joint venture in Asia Pacific, visited Argentina and Chile, touring several Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro locations in the country together with Japanese Master of Wine Ken Ohashi; Aya Jindo, Head of Imported Wine Brands Marketing of the Mercian Corporation; Takayuki Tamura: Chateau Mercian Winemaker; Shonei Shibuta: Senior Marketing Brand Manager of Casillero del Diablo; and Guy Nussey, Regional Director VCT Group of Wineries Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The visit started with a tasting at Almaviva and continued with a trip to the Limar\u00ed Valley, where attendees met the Devil\u2019s Collection and Quebrada Seca winemaking teams and visited the vineyards. Their journey continued with a tour of Pirque, where they met Don Melchor Winemaker and CEO, Enrique Tirado, in order to promote the company\u2019s fine wine offering in the Asian market.<\/p>\n<p>The attendees were then taken to the Casillero del Diablo wine cellar, before enjoying a tasting session and lunch focused on Diablo wines. Subsequently, they visited the Vespucio Plant production line in order to find out more about the bottling and labeling process for our brands.<\/p>\n<p>The group then traveled to the Center for Research and Innovation (CRI), located in Chile\u2019s Maule Valley, where they were able to visit Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro\u2019s laboratories and experimental wine cellar. While at the center, they were given a presentation on topics including some of the company\u2019s products, the Ecn\u00f3logy platform, wine quality, climate change, and Concha y Toro\u2019s experimental wines. The visit was concluded with a tour of Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro\u2019s facilities in Peumo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was a great visit with a view to expanding our presence in the large Asia-Pacific market. While they were here, the visitors gained a lot of knowledge, and saw everything we do in different areas of the country and across our portfolio of brands. It was also a really important visit due to the presence of Ken Ohashi, the only Japanese Master of Wine\u201d, said Pablo Pressac, Wine Specialist Leader at Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, they visited Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro\u00b4s subsidiary Trivento, located Mendoza, where they toured the EOLO vineyard in Luj\u00e1n de Cuyo where they were received by the winery&#8217;s winemaker, Germ\u00e1n Di Cesare. They then visited the winery in Maip\u00fa where they were received by Felipe Rossell, MKT Trivento Director; Silvina Barros, MKT Manager Trivento; Juan Jos\u00e9 Gil, Brand Manager; and M\u00f3nica Caama\u00f1o, Corporate Affairs Manager. The executives presented the company, the Trivento brand philosophy, the wines and the sustainability strategy, as well as a tasting of the Trivento Reserve and Trivento Private Reserve lines with winemaker Maximiliano Ortiz.<\/p>\n<p>To conclude the tour, they visited the winery in Drummond, recently acquired, and there they tasted 4 components according to the soil profile of the Eolo vineyard, a vertical of Eolo and Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2020 with its components from Vistalba, Las Compuertas, Perdriel and Agrelo.
