This contemplates the creation of 86 new jobs, both direct and indirect, and will be destined to different areas of the company, such as agriculture, sustainability, production, brands and value chain.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made during the meeting held by Argentinian President, Mauricio Macri, with Alfonso Larra\u00edn, president of Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro and the executives of Bodega Trivento Felipe Rossel, Marketing Manager and Santiago Ribisich, general manager, whom he received at the Casa Rosada. The Ministers of Production and Agribusiness, Francisco Cabrera and Luis Miguel Etchevere, were also present at the meeting. In addition to the announcement, attendees discussed the current situation of the wine industry in Chile and Argentina.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conchaytoro.com\/content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Trivento-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-30457 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.conchaytoro.com\/content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Trivento-2.jpg\" alt=\"Trivento 2\" width=\"800\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Alfonso Larra\u00edn, president of Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro Holding since 1998, said that &#8220;in this industry, every investment is long term. Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro has a long history in this business, is present in more than 145 countries and has a strong participation in the most important markets. Our portfolio includes wines from Chile, the United States and Argentina. Trivento is a very attractive brand in the world and has great potential in the global business of the company &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>With this new capitalization, Trivento, which has more than 20 years of existence, will exceed the 100 million dollars invested during this period.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our strength lies in the choice of terroirs, Malbec and new styles. With this new investment we will surpass our own 1,500 hectares and continue with the Malbec Premium plantation, which we made us number one Argentine wine in sales in Europe since 2016,&#8221; emphasizes Santiago Ribisich, general manager of Bodega Trivento.<\/p>\n<h2>Details of the investment<\/h2>\n<p>Around five million dollars will be dedicated to the plantation of 236 hectares of own vineyards. It is expected to have the first harvest in three years and reach full production in five years. The areas of Mendoza selected to carry out the plantations are Agrelo, in Luj\u00e1n de Cuyo and Jun\u00edn. The increase in the production of high-end grapes will supply the projected growth in the Premium segment of exports in the US, UK and Asia, and sales in the Argentine market.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conchaytoro.com\/content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Barrica-Trivento.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-30458 lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.conchaytoro.com\/content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Barrica-Trivento.jpg\" alt=\"Barrica Trivento\" width=\"800\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One million dollars will go to sustainability issues, which come to support a project started in 2013, seeking to achieve harmony with the environment, the rational use of natural resources and the care of the environment from the vineyard to the final product. One of the goals proposed for 2018 is the optimization of energy consumption, replacing the matrix by 16% with renewable energy from solar panels.<\/p>\n<p>The productive grid will receive a three million dollar investment. The installation of new equipment, infrastructure reforms and optimization of resources will be carried out. These actions aim to improve the conditions of production and storage of wines in pursuit of the best quality.<\/p>\n<p>Two million dollars will be used to invest in brands.
