Trivento is the N°1 Argentine wine brand in the world
The winery from Mendoza was distinguished for the third consecutive year by the global consulting firm IWSR Drinks Market Analysis.
Bodega Trivento, a symbol of high-end wines from Argentina, was recognized for the third consecutive year as the “No. 1 Argentine wine brand in the world, in value”. The results, corresponding to the year 2022, come from the latest report of the global research consultancy of the alcoholic beverage market and its trends, IWSR Drinks Market Analysis.
“We have set out to be the most valued Argentine wine in the world, and this requires us to invest heavily in brand positioning. Undoubtedly, our growth is a consequence of the fact that wine consumers appreciate the effort we make to provide a high value product and the importance we give to both sustainability and innovation”, says Marcos Jofré, CEO of Trivento.
Bodega Trivento has maintained its leadership in the IWSR Drinks Market Analysis ranking since 2020. This is due in part to the brand’s positioning in international markets. In the United Kingdom, for example, during 2022, the company remained among the top 10 brands. In addition, its Reserve Malbec line stands out as the #1 wine in sales, considering all origins, while Trivento White Malbec leads the category, according to data from the Nielsen consulting firm.
In Argentina, 2022 was also a year of expansion as it showed a strong growth of +60% in volume of its premium and superior wines. “The company is pursuing sustained growth in European and American markets, which is reflected in the USD 230 million invoiced in 2022 for retail and e-commerce sales,” says Silvina Barros, Marketing Manager.
For the Brazilian market, Trivento stands out as the #3 Argentine wine brand, being the one with the largest presence in stores (Neilsen). “The momentum in the first months of 2023 has led us to an increase in sales of 41%,” adds Barros.
In the US, growth was consistent, climbing to second position in sales in the “Argentine Malbec” category (IRI data). If we consider Mexico, retail sales grew 42% in volume. When analyzing labels, the Trivento Reserve Malbec line is the #2 Argentine wine in the market, while the brand’s White Malbec ranks #5, with the fastest growth in its category.
Many consider the wine industry as traditional, however, the incorporation of new technologies and innovation are increasingly important when it comes to adding value to the proposal. In this same sense, as a triple impact organization, Bodega Trivento places sustainability at the center of its business model.
As a member of the United Nations Global Compact, the company contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. On the road to becoming carbon neutral by 2050, Trivento reached an important milestone by neutralizing 100% of its 2022 emissions from electricity through its solar panel plant, implementation of more energy-efficient processes and the acquisition of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).
