Concha y Toro’s Ultra-Premium Chardonnay has claimed the top spot as White Wine of the Year in the 2025 Chile Report by the renowned British Master of Wine.

The 2025 Chile Report by wine critic and British Master of Wine Tim Atkin has been released, featuring assessments of approximately 1,100 Chilean wines. The report highlights that one of the key drivers of the Chilean wine industry’s success over the past two decades has been the consistent quality and reliability of its wines.

In this edition, Amelia Chardonnay 2023 was awarded the title of White Wine of the Year and received 97 points, the highest score granted to a white wine in this year’s report. This significant recognition marks a new milestone in Amelia’s history, as it is the first time the wine has received this prestigious accolade in the respected publication.

Tim Atkin described the 2023 vintage of Amelia Chardonnay as follows: “It’s good to see Chile’s biggest winery making one of the country’s outstanding white wines under the guidance of the brilliant Marcelo Papa. Sourced from the legendary Quebrada Seca vineyard, this is a salty, stony, Pacific Ocean-influenced style of Chardonnay with no malolactic, impressive focus and balance, layers of toast, tangerine and waxed lemons and a pithy, mouth-watering finish. World class.”

In addition to being recognized as the “White Wine of the Year” —an award granted to only one Chilean white wine each year—, Amelia Chardonnay 2023 was included in the ranking of the Wines of the Year in the Chardonnay category, further solidifying its status as one of the most awarded Chardonnays in Chile.
