During 2024, Viña Concha y Toro -Family of New World Wineries- achieved important milestones that confirm its commitment to excellence, innovation and sustainability.

- On its 35th anniversary (vintage), Don Melchor 2021 is chosen “Wine of the Year” by Wine Spectator. With its 2021 vintage, this year Don Melchor celebrates its 35th anniversary, where it has been characterized by its extraordinary quality and consistency, obtaining the highest awards granted by specialized media to a Chilean wine. At the same time, with this remarkable distinction, its vineyard located in Puente Alto is crowned as one of the great terroirs in the world to produce high-end wines. Learn more here.
- Concha y Toro is once again one of the most admired wine brands in the world by Drinks International. Our subsidiary was distinguished among the World’s Most Admired Wine Brands, according to the survey of wine professionals conducted annually by the British magazine Drinks International. On this occasion, the winery ranked 14th globally and No. 1 in the domestic industry.
- For the seventh consecutive year, Casillero del Diablo was the second most powerful wine brand, according to IWSR. Casillero del Diablo, the company’s main brand, maintained its position for the seventh consecutive year as the second most powerful in the world. Concha y Toro ranked 19th and Frontera 12th.
- Luxury Brands Division brand recognition: Amelia was chosen as the best chardonnay in Chile according to Wine Spectator, Tim Atkin and Vinous. Carmín de Peumo was named the best Carmenere in Chile according to Wine Spectator.
- Trivento, our Argentine subsidiary, is once again the best-selling Argentine wine in the world, according to the global consulting firm IWSR Drinks Market Analysis. The Argentine subsidiary announced that it maintains its leadership as the “No. 1 Argentine wine brand in the world in value” -for the second consecutive year-, with an amount exceeding USD 270 million in retail and E-commerce sales.
- Our brands starred in global events: Casillero del Diablo participated in the Rio Carnival with all the magic and the Devil’s Carnival party. Frontera was present at the 2024 Grammy Awards, celebrating 3 years of this historic alliance. Diablo was presented as the official wine of the musical “Devil Wears Prada”, which is presented in London’s West End.
- Our Night Tour in Pirque is chosen as the best wine tourism experience in the country in the Enoturismo Chile 2024 awards. This award seeks to reward wine-related activities that create a distinctive experience for visitors based on their originality, innovation, accessibility and relationship with sustainability.
- Center for Research and Innovation: 10 years innovating to transcend. Viña Concha y Toro’s Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) celebrates its tenth anniversary as a benchmark in the global wine industry, with a focus on applied science, technology, and sustainability. - We renewed our commitment as a B Corp. After an arduous evaluation process, Viña Concha y Toro was recertified as a B Corp., which recognizes companies that meet high standards of environmental management, governance, and social performance.
- Progress in sustainability: We reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 42%. In November last year, Viña Concha y Toro announced that it had advanced its goal of becoming a carbon neutral company by 2040, anticipating its commitment in 10 years. An important advance on this path is the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 42% in 2023, compared to the base year 2017.
- We signed an agreement with the Municipality of Puente Alto to support 2,300 children in kindergartens together with Fundación Choshuenco. Through this agreement, the company is committed to work for three years of training and work with the families of 21 kindergartens in the commune. In this way, Viña Concha y Toro deepened its commitment to early childhood by expanding the work already done in other areas. Read more here.
- We celebrate the 30th anniversary of the rediscovery of Carmenere in Chile. Since its rediscovery 30 years ago, Viña Concha y Toro has led the positioning of Carmenere in Chile in the ultra-premium segment, firmly committed to this emblematic variety of Chilean viticulture.
