The audit showed that Concha y Toro consistently complies with environmental and social criteria prominent in the wine tourism industry.

This year, the Concha y Toro Tourist Center in Pirque was audited by Preferred by Nature, giving it sustainable tourism certification once again with 96.76% overall compliance. The four indicators for the audit obtained excellent scores: Responsible Management (95.66%), People (100%), Nature (97.62%) and Climate (93.75%).

This certification verifies that the facility’s operational and management practices are in line with sustainability requirements and criteria. It should be noted that, in 2022, Concha y Toro was the first to obtain this certification for this category of tourism services in the world.

This recertification would not have been possible without the commitment and dedication of our Tourist Center team, who have worked hard to ensure that practices are always sustainable and responsible.

The team at Tourist Center in Pirque was part of a rigorous and comprehensive assessment conducted by Preferred by Nature, including the review of relevant documents, such as environmental and social management plans, policies, procedures and records.

An on-site assessment of the facilities and operations was also conducted to verify compliance with the sustainability criteria put into practice. In addition, this annual audit represents a valuable opportunity for the Resort to receive constructive feedback on its sustainable management system.
