Viña Concha y Toro joins Nova-IA to promote the use of artificial intelligence in the food industry
The company is one of six participating in this technology program, which aims to develop AI solutions applied to specific challenges in the food industry and strengthen innovation in the production sector.
Viña Concha y Toro is part of Nova-IA (New Opportunities for Food Valorization with Artificial Intelligence), a technology program that seeks to promote the development and application of artificial intelligence-based solutions to transform the food industry.
The initiative brings together six companies: Carozzi, Cáscara Foods, Nestlé, Nutrisco, Sticta, and Viña Concha y Toro, along with universities and technology centers, with the goal of addressing specific industry challenges and accelerating the transfer of knowledge and technology to the production sector.
Pedro Bouchon, Professor of Engineering at UC and director of Nova-IA, emphasized that the participation of these companies allows for focusing technological development on the specific needs of the production sector and accelerating its implementation.
“We are not developing technology in the abstract. Every solution we develop addresses a problem that is currently costing a company money, whether it’s losses that can be valued, production lines that can be made more efficient, or decisions made without sufficient information,” Bouchon says.
