For a sixth consecutive year, Casillero del Diablo received international recognition from prestigious British consulting firm Wine Intelligence, which named it as the world’s second most powerful wine brand and the most powerful wine brand in Latin America.

Every year, Wine Intelligence releases its Global Wine Brand Power Index, for which more than 25,000 consumers in 23 key wine markets are interviewed, representing a universe of 466 million regular wine drinkers globally.

“Being included again in this major ranking is a huge endorsement, as it is based on consumers, who are the cornerstone of our operations. This recognition fills us with pride, and motives us to keep working to position Casillero del Diablo as one of the world’s most important and highly valued wine brands”, said Sebastián Aguirre, Casillero del Diablo Global Marketing Director.

This ranking is based on the connection that brands have with their consumers, and the assessment includes six measures such as “brand awareness”, “purchases made in the last three months”, “brand affinity”, and “product recommendation”, among other aspects. The ranking was led by Australian wine brand Yellow Tail, while Casillero del Diablo was placed first among Latin American wineries and second globally, above renowned brands such as E. & J. Gallo, Barefoot, and Jacob’s Creek, among others.

Casillero del Diablo is currently present in over 140 countries with an extensive product portfolio, which has enabled it to position itself as the Chilean wine brand with the largest global footprint.
