Concha y Toro is the second winery with most mentions in Top 100 Best Winery of the Year

Wine & Spirits highlighted Concha y Toro’s consistent quality, making it the only Chilean winery named 26 times in this ranking. The prestigious publication also included Gravas del Maipo Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 among the 100 Best Wines in 2020.

Wine & Spirits, one of the most influential specialised magazines in the world, once again named Concha y Toro as one of the Top 100 Best Wineries of the Year. The publication highlighted that Concha y Toro obtained some of the highest scores in its regional category in the blind tastings carried out this year, with the most consistent performances over a range of wines.

Concha y Toro has obtained this recognition on 26 occasions, becoming the second winery in the world and the only Chilean with the most appearances in this outstanding ranking.

The publication also awards the Top 100 Wines each year, this time recognizing Gravas del Maipo Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 with 95 points. This wine, by the oenologist Isabel Mitarakis, was born as a tribute to the Cordillera de los Andes and the gravels hidden under the eroded soils of Alto Maipo, which translates into a wine of great elegance, character and unique personality of our Andean terroir.

Due to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19, for the first time in 17 years, the usual Top 100 Tasting will be a virtual event called Top 100 Sessions, which will be held between October 14 and 23. On this occasion, Marcelo Papa, Technical Director of Concha y Toro, will lead a tasting of the prestigious Marques de Casa Concha range.

This opportunity will benefit restaurant workers from the United States who have been impacted by the pandemic, a donation that is added to the one traditionally made to bay care institutions of New York and San Francisco.
