The American magazine Robb Report, a global reference in luxury products and experiences, released the list of the 17 most prestigious wines in the world, among which Don Melchor was highlighted as the leader in the “Chilean Wines” category.

Robb Report’s international “Best of the Best” ranking annually selects the experiences and products that are considered a clear reference in terms of luxury, heritage and excellence at a global level. This year, in its 35th version, it published the list “The 17 Best Wines of the Year” (the 17 Best Wines of the Year, according to its classification of 17 categories), where Don Melchor was awarded Best of the Best: Chilean wines.

The 2020 vintage of Viña Don Melchor’s icon Cabernet Sauvignon was described as a wine that “under the skilled hand of winemaker Enrique Tirado, the result is an intense violet-red wine with aromas of raspberry, black cherry and Turkish delight. The high temperatures of the growing season, plus judicious use of oak, translate into flavors of blackberry, fig, licorice, dark chocolate and rose petals wrapped in polished tannins, while cool nights contributed to surprising acidity and an elegant finish.”

In this edition, Don Melchor with its 2020 vintage, became the only Chilean wine on the list and positioned itself with great referents of the global wine industry.
