Don Melchor 2021 celebrates its 35th vintage anniversary in Brazil

This event is the official launch of the global roadshow “Don Melchor 2021, celebrates its 35th vintage”, which Enrique Tirado will hold in the main markets to present the 2021 vintage of Puente Alto’s icon Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Chilean industry’s first icon wine, Don Melchor, celebrates the anniversary of its 35th vintage with the launch of its new 2021 vintage, which expresses the perfect balance between energy and finesse of its origin in the acclaimed Puente Alto appellation.

The event, which took place at the exclusive Tangará Hotel in the city of Sao Paulo, was attended by more than 100 people, including customers, consumers, press and market influencers. On the occasion, four iconic vintages of Don Melchor: 1988, 1996, 2015 and 2021 were presented in the context of a meal.

During the meal, the wine was served by Manoel Beato, a Brazilian sommelier with more than 35 years of experience, widely recognized in the market and who is the sommelier responsible for the prestigious Fasano restaurant group. On the other hand, the pairing was the work of Filipe Rizzato – internationally recognized and in charge of the gastronomy of the Hotel Palácio Tangará.

“This great event allowed us to share and celebrate with important market personalities the 35th vintage of Don Melchor, a wine composed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Merlot. This new vintage faithfully expresses the energy and finesse of an exceptional terroir such as Puente Alto,” says Enrique Tirado, CEO and Technical Director of Viña Don Melchor.

This exclusive celebration consolidates as the inaugural event of the global tour that Enrique Tirado will be conducting in the main markets of the world to celebrate the 35th vintage of Don Melchor.
