Viña Concha y Toro donates 50,000 liters of hand sanitizer to combat COVID-19 in Chile

To help tackle the coronavirus health crisis, Viña Concha y Toro – Family of Wineries delivered 50,000 liters of hand sanitizer to communities where it is present in Chile.

In April, the company announced two major initiatives as part of its contribution to the Private Health Emergency Fund launched by Chile’s Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC). Firstly, Viña Concha y Toro’s Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) certified its molecular biology laboratory to analyze COVID-19 test samples; and secondly, the company offered to donate hand sanitizer produced using its alcohol.

The 50,000 liters of hand sanitizer were delivered to Chile’s Maule Region, as well as Pirque, Puente Alto, Chimbarongo, Peumo and Pencahue municipalities, at the end of May and beginning of June. The hand sanitizer, available in 100 ml and 1 liter bottles, is being distributed by local authorities in health centers and emergency facilities, as well as to local residents.
