Almaviva releases its 2019 vintage at La Place de Bordeaux

In line with the best Chilean exponents of the last 20 years, the new release  is a worthy successor to the excellent 2018 vintage.

At the beginning of September, the joint venture of Viña Concha y Toro with Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Almaviva, launched through La Place de Bordeaux  -prestigious and historic wine sales and distribution system- its new 2019 vintage, which is considered a magnificent and worthy successor to the excellent 2018 vintage.

Its winemaker, Michel Friou, described the 2019 vintage as: “Drier than average vintage 2019 gave us smaller berries, superb for all our Bordeaux varieties, packed with rich color and intense flavor, wonderfully balanced, generous in fruit and tremendous in quality”.

This new vintage will offer consumers a juicy and voluminous wine, which fills the mouth with polished and smooth tannins, leaving an overall impression of harmony, length and persistence. Its great structure and density are well balanced by good acidity, characteristic of the great terroir of Puente Alto.
