International media give positive mentions to our wines

Two of the most important wine critics in the world, Kim Marcus and James Suckling, awarded outstanding scores and mentions to six wines from Viña Concha y Toro’s portfolio.

For 30 years, Wine Spectator – prestigious American wine publication- publishes annually a list of the Top 100 best wines in the world, which is based on the quality, value and availability of each one. In the latest version of the ranking, Gravas del Maipo Syrah 2018 was included, which is part of the broad portfolio of our Chilean subsidiary Concha y Toro.

This red wine comes from the Alto Maipo Valley, was ranked No. 64 and was highlighted by media editor Kim Marcus as an “Elegant and well-structured, with concentrated dark fruit and Asian spice flavors that are filled with creamy richness. The rich finish lingers with hints of chocolate truffle and dried meat that are tightly wound”.

On the other hand, James Suckling released his latest report “Top 100 Wines of Chile”, in which he included five wines from Viña Concha y Toro’s portfolio. Among them stands out in the position No. 4 Don Melchor 2019 with 98 points; No. 21 to Almaviva 2019 with 97 points; No. 34 to Almaviva Epu 2018 with 95 points. It is followed by Gravas del Maipo Syrah 2019 in place No. 36 with 95 points, Gravas del Maipo Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 in position No. 48 with 95 points.
