Trivento obtains high scores at VINOUS

Argentine wine journalist Joaquín Hidalgo tasted and rated the winery’s most emblematic labels.

Two of the most renowned Malbecs from Bodega Trivento received notable scores from Joaquín Hidalgo, an Argentine wine journalist who reviews wines for the American magazine VINOUS. These are the labels Trivento Golden Reserve Malbec 2020 and Trivento Eolo Malbec 2019.

Hidalgo highlights in his notes and with 92 points that the 2020 Malbec from Luján de Cuyo “offers clear notes of fresh and ripe fruit, such as cherry, and floral aromas, including violets. After a year in the bottle, it is firm with voluminous tannins. It is silky but crisp, with an agile flow”.

Likewise, the critic highlights with 95 points the winery’s icon, Trivento Eolo Malbec 2019. In his description he highlights the elegance of the color as “garnet red with a violet sheen”. He distinguishes the aromas as slightly liqueur-like, with notes of jam, plum, camphor pepper and balsamic touches. According to Hidalgo, “the elegant woody notes come later and enhance the overall sensation. It delivers good volume, muscle and fruity flavor. A long balsamic and fruity finish continues the fine-grained texture. The Vistalba character comes through in the volume and tannins.”
