Viña Concha y Toro is considered R&D&I leader by Chilean food industry

At the third Annual Transform Food Network Forum organized by Chilean economic development agency CORFO and the Ministry of Agriculture, the new Food Innovation Catalog was launched before hundreds of attendees from the public and private sectors, and Viña Concha y Toro – Family of Wineries was named as an industry leader thanks to the company’s strong commitment to innovation based on research and development.

At the event, Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) director Gerard Casaubon participated in an expert panel on “Innovating for a more sustainable food industry”.

“Viña Concha y Toro’s experience in addressing the sustainability challenges facing the food and drink industry through the installation of research, development and innovation capabilities, which are strengthened by public-private partnerships, has been considered as a highly positive example of the collaborative efforts that CORFO’s Transform Food strategic program is aiming to achieve”, said Casaubon.

The new catalog, which aims to promote the diversification and sophistication of the Chilean food industry on a global scale, received more than 150 nominations, which were meticulously assessed in order to select the 50 most representative and highest-potential innovations.
