Viña Concha y Toro joins the Sustainable Wine Roundtable

The company joined in July as a founding member of the entity composed of organizations and professionals, which seeks to make Sustainability a main axis in the wine industry.

Viña Concha y Toro took another step in its commitment to the environment by joining as a founding member of the Sustainable Wine Roundtable (SWR), a British organization made up of organizations and professionals from around the world, who together actively seek a better and more sustainable world for the wine industry.

Valentina Lira, Sustainability Manager, explains that “as a global company, Viña Concha y Toro has a fundamental role in helping to determine a common language around sustainability in the wine industry, which allows our consumers to understand in a simple way what a sustainable wine means. We are very excited to be able to work alongside our main clients on this great task.”

SWR, based in London, has important players among its founders, such as Ahold Delhaize (retailer), Alko (retailer), Systembolaget (retailer), Treasury Wine Estates (producer), among others.

From SWR they comment that: “We are thrilled to have Viña Concha y Toro in the roundtable.  You are setting the best example, with admirable ambition, attitude and innovation.
