Viña Concha y Toro is recognized as a leader in sustainability reports

With the presence of representatives of various companies and experts in the field of sustainability, the launch ceremony of the latest version of the GRI Standards (Global Reporting Initiative) was held in the plenary hall of the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago. The activity was attended by three companies, among which Viña Concha y Toro was considered a success case in terms of reportability by GRI International.

The GRI standards represent the best worldwide practices to communicate the economic, social and environmental impacts of an organization. The importance of the United Nations Guiding Principles for Human Rights and Business was also addressed during the conference, with emphasis on the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, topics on which the company has been working on for more than two years.

Sustentabilidad CCSThe winery´s participation was carried out in the context of the “Good Practices and Challenges in the Reporting Process”, addressing some specific principles of these new standards and sharing experiences of sustainability management, from different sectors of industry.

The conversation emphasized key aspects of sustainability management today, and that have been addressed systematically by the company: the integration of the supply chain, supplier management, human rights and business, automation in the processes of data collection, associativity and permanent dialogue, and the prioritization of interest groups, among others.

The Chamber of Commerce of Santiago (CCS) recognized the contribution of the participating companies and their impact on Sustainable Development in Chile, carried out by leading companies in the field.
