Sustainability Report 2020 is chosen as Best in the World for a second consecutive year
Viña Concha y Toro’s sustainability report obtained first place in the Wine Industry category in the Hallbars Sustainability Reports Awards, having been named as the Best in Chile in September.
Hallbars has released the results of its latest Sustainability Reports Awards, naming Viña Concha y Toro’s Sustainability Report 2020 as “Best in the World” in the Wine Industry category. This is the second time that the company has been distinguished by Hallbars, since in 2020 the Viña Concha y Toro Report obtained the third place as the Best in the World.
“Obtaining this recognition makes us extremely happy and invites us to continue advancing with enthusiasm in our goal of being a better company for the world every day. Having positioned ourselves as leaders of the Wine Industry is a call to continue challenging ourselves and improve transparency, management and reporting of our actions. We hope that everyone can read this report and be reflected in the different actions that the company undertakes, everything aligned with our recent certification as a B Corp company”, said Valentina Lira, Viña Concha y Toro’s Sustainability Director.
Hallbars Research Institute is an international institution headquartered in Sweden which is focused on the promotion of sustainability reports. The awards aim to promote the distribution of sustainability reports globally. This year, the jury delivered its verdict after analyzing more than 1,000 reports from 58 countries around the world, with 283 reports obtaining recognition. In September, Viña Concha y Toro’s sustainability report was named the Best in Chile, enabling it to compete for the Best in the World award.
Treasury Wine Estates (Australia) and Systembolaget (Sweden) came second and third in the Wine Industry category respectively. The award ceremony will be held in December in Paris, France.
